How to Be Happy (As a Teen Girl)

A girl's teenage years are going to stay with her for the rest of her life. Adults who can barely remember what they said two weeks ago are able to recall important or memorable events that occurred when they were teenagers. If you want to look back on joyful times, instead of periods of misery and despair, then it's obvious that you have to accomplish one thing; being happy. However, being happy isn't as simple as it seems, especially as being a teenager is no easy job. If you're a teenage girl looking for happiness, this is the article for you.

1
Be yourself. You can't be truly happy unless you know the person who you're trying to make happy (YOU!). Spend some time alone to think about who you are and what your purpose in life is, so that you can use that as a guide in your life.

2
Make friends. Communicate. Chat with your friends about anything; from movies and music, to fashion and boys. Being a (teen) girl should be fun, exciting, and full of new surprises!

3
Enjoy giggles with your best friends by going to sleepovers, parties, and events together. Try to go shopping, especially on weekends, or watch a new movie together as a group. Also, try to make new friends, and e. When you grow up, you start to feel insecure about yourself. Your appearance and your body are your sole focus all of a sudden. Remember that curves are the must have accessory, so don't diet because your "friends" tell you to, or because you see airbrushed celebrities, or just because you see yourself as a little bit chubby. Just remember to drink plenty of water every day, try to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, and exercise for around thirty minutes a day. Having a body that you like will help to bring up your confidence.

4
Find what you love. Whether it's music, volleyball, dancing, or singing into your tattered hairbrush, everyone has a passion that makes them smile. Practice doing what you love, with your friends, or flying solo.

5
Spend quality time with your mother. Maybe it's watching a movie together, or just having a girl gossip! Mothers are like your best friend, except they're always there for you and don't judge. Also talk to the rest of your family! Chat with friends, and keep in touch with female cousins and aunts.

7
Pick your friends wisely. If you find a person or a group of people that you can trust, have fun with, talk personally with, and they make you happy when you're around them, then you've probably found good friends. If your friends try to coax you into doing bad things or things you don't want to do, don't. You don't have to give in. If they're strongly pressuring you to do bad things, find new friends. Remember that you become the people that you hang out with. If you hang out with bad influences then you will become like them. If you hang out with good influenced people then you will become like them. Be a good judge of character.

"Meet Sultana Nazif"

My name is Sultana Nazif, I am 17 years old. I was born in December (best month of the year) I loveee reading books and am also a planner I always like to be organised. The apps on my phone are arranged from darker colours to lighter colours. I am studying to become an Engineer InshaAllah.  I have six younger siblings I hate when things don’t go my way and i like being in control. I try my best to be nice to everyone I also love listening to music I am so Indecisive 😂.   I think African teenagers nowadays are very diverse with their sense of style and fashion statements, both girls and boys! Everyone should be able to dress how ever they want to and should feel free of being judged. For what they wear because at the end of the day you only have to please yourself. Do you and stay true to you because there are gonna be haters anyway🤪

"Meet Beauty Queen Imani Shagari"

I’m Imani Shagari , a student reading Architecture and I’m one of twenty other children. Coming from a big family has shown me how important supporting other people can be to their growth. I constantly live by the quote “Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.” It motivates me to help and support people without feeling afraid or threatened by their growth. Instead it helps me to see the best in people and that everyone has their own gifts , we just need each other to help show those gifts. As a young black girl, I would encourage other girls just like me to love themselves and also believe that they are beautiful without the beauty standards set up by society and social media.

Are Your Boobs Normal? We Asked An Expert

Chances are, the answer is yes — you have normal boobs! Luckily, most seemingly ~weird~ things about your boobs are totally fine. But maybe you can't help but wonder if that little bump or tiny hair on your boob is concerning. First things first: breasts come in all different shapes and sizes, and all kinds are beautiful. (Same goes for your nipples !) So for the most part, your boobs are probably fine. But if you still have questions about what is and isn't normal (and we understand why you would), we have answers. We chatted with Dr. Natasha Bhuyan , family physician at One Medical , about everything you've been wondering about your boobs. "It's human nature to assume the worst," says Dr. Bhuyan. "But the reality is that breast changes are just a normal part of the human body." You have sore boobs Dr. Bhuyan says soreness of the breasts is one of her female patients' most common concerns. But before you complete...
