"How to Be a Confident Beautiful Black Girl"

Being born black is a gift, and I feel like the ones that do not agree with that just feel intimidated.  Being black is being fearless, strong and capable. Being black girl  in our society you have to tell yourself what the world doesn't tell you. You have to look at yourself in the mirror and remind yourself of how beautiful, smart and ambitious you are. I tell myself that I am not just good enough. I am more than enough because I am black. 1.  Smile at yourself in the mirror often. There are loads of studies that show that smiling can be a great way to feel more positive and happier about yourself and your life. Smiling in front of a mirror can really help towards building the self-confidence you desire. 2. Recite a personal mantra. Mantras are statements that we repeat in our heads over and over again throughout the day. If the statement playing on a loop in your head is negative, you will feel bad about yourself or lack confidence in your abilities. Positive statements empower

"Meet Beauty Queen Imani Shagari"

I’m Imani Shagari , a student reading Architecture and I’m one of twenty other children. Coming from a big family has shown me how important supporting other people can be to their growth. I constantly live by the quote “Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.” It motivates me to help and support people without feeling afraid or threatened by their growth. Instead it helps me to see the best in people and that everyone has their own gifts , we just need each other to help show those gifts. As a young black girl, I would encourage other girls just like me to love themselves and also believe that they are beautiful without the beauty standards set up by society and social media.

"How To Stay Happy And Healthy Always With Lots Of Smiling"

Think of the people you know who have great smiles. These smiles are warm, cheerful, and magnetic. How do those smiles make you feel? Happy? Hopeful? Special? A good smile can be really contagious to those who see it. If we all smiled a little bit more, maybe there would be a little more happiness in the world. Whether you are old, young, rich, or poor, all of us can smile. But why smile? There are many reasons to smile aside from being happy. A smile actually has many benefits. One big reason to smile is because it is contagious. When somebody catches you smiling, they will want to smile too. Another reason to smile is that it can benefit others. One smile can turn someone’s bad day around. It can give them hope or reassurance that things will be okay. A smile can also forge a connection between two people. For many people, a smile can be the beginning of a good friendship. Sometimes a smile can be the start of a wonderful romance.

How to Be a Hot and Fit Teenage Girl

Chances are, because you've typed this in, you are pretty unhappy with your body, your look or your style. Here is a "celebrity tricks of the trade" style guide to get you looking like a goddess - there is one inside of every one of us, waiting to come out. This is the guide to becoming healthy, cool, popular, stylish and an overall dazzling person. What are you waiting for? 1 Get fit .  Running is often the safest option for most people as it is simple and you don't need to join any special clubs (although having a running buddy makes it more fun and there are running clubs you can join if you prefer to socialise!).  2 Eat healthy .  Try to avoid eating sugary foods, white carbohydrates, all crisps sweets and ice creams, as well as full fat dairy products (although a little in moderation is okay!). 3 Develop your own style - don't worry about following certain trends (although being a follower isn't a bad thing), just wear what you like and what you feel conf

How to Live the "Perfect" Teen Life

Ever wished you could have a better life? While no one should tell you how to live your life, or that your life is bad, if you want, you can change it so you can fit the life of your dreams. 1 Be confident.   If you hide back, you can't get yourself out there and experience life at its fullest. Everyone has something they want to change about themselves, and that's ok, but don't let it ruin you. Don't give up hope if you can't seem to be happy or confident in yourself. Don't be a wallflower; get out and dance. Don't worry. 2 Be friendly. In real life, the outgoing girls are the popular ones, not the ones everyone hates, so be nice, and people will appreciate your social skills. Wave to people you know in the hall, hug your friends, and smile at everybody else. 3 Be social. One way to be a happy teen is to have friends and be social. Spend more time with people. Go out to eat, or go spend a day outside in the world meeting new people. Don't be afraid to t

How to Live a Calm and Relaxing Life (for Teenagers)

Most say people in their teen years is like a bridge between childhood and adulthood. They have more privileges than children, but not as much responsibilities as adults have. Despite that, the teenage life can sometimes be frustrating, stressful, and seemingly like the world is on your shoulders. But it doesn't have to be that way. This article will show you how to effectively live the teenage life, stress free. 1 Have a few close friends.  You don't need drama, fighting, and headaches. Get rid of negative people in your life. Find people who make you happy, have goals, and that you have a lot in common with. 2 Smile.  It's easier said than done. But it goes a long way. Even if you are depressed and sad, happy or excited. Just smile. It's the prettiest thing anybody can wear. 3 Exercise & eat healthy.  Healthy body, healthy mind. Exercise relieves stress and helps you stay in shape. Eating right, keeps your body healthy and happy. And clears your mind and makes you

"Meet Sultana Nazif"

My name is Sultana Nazif, I am 17 years old. I was born in December (best month of the year) I loveee reading books and am also a planner I always like to be organised. The apps on my phone are arranged from darker colours to lighter colours. I am studying to become an Engineer InshaAllah.  I have six younger siblings I hate when things don’t go my way and i like being in control. I try my best to be nice to everyone I also love listening to music I am so Indecisive 😂.   I think African teenagers nowadays are very diverse with their sense of style and fashion statements, both girls and boys! Everyone should be able to dress how ever they want to and should feel free of being judged. For what they wear because at the end of the day you only have to please yourself. Do you and stay true to you because there are gonna be haters anyway🤪

I believe that individuality comes from within

•Copying people doesn’t allow you to express yourself. Some adults believe by dictating to children what they deem appropriate will encourage them to transform into “responsible young adults”. Freedom to dress and show individuality is vital •Unfortunately in Nigeria you don’t have the privilege, the freedom to express yourself because of cultural or religious beliefs. Dressing similar to people due to pure insecurity casts a shadow on the true you •Love yourself because beauty is being comfortable in your own skin and being proud of who you are as a person . .  •Dressing different from the social normalities is what creates a unique society, a unique individual and I strongly believe style comes with comfort and acceptance All about the power of what you wear and the influence you make. In Defense Of Wearing All-Black

Many people assume that wearing an all-black ensemble means adopting a “gothic” style. Those people would be wrong, an all-black outfit doesn’t have to mean losing your own personal style. 1. Black goes with everything! This should go without saying, but everything goes with black. The best part of wearing black all the time is that I can accessorize however I want. This provides a lot of opportunity to dress an outfit up or down depending on my needs. 2. Black can express your personality. Honestly, my biggest reason for wearing black isn't just practical or for accessorizing. It's that I legitimately feel most comfortable -- and most confident -- when I wear dark colors. I feel like the best version of myself when I'm in my all-black looks. 3. Black serves as functional purpose. The other benefit of black is formal wear (see outfit example above). Black is good for job interviews, gallery openings, first dates...pretty much anything. All about the power of what you wear a
