"Meet Beauty Queen Temitope Akintunde"

My name is Temitope Akintunde. I was born on the 11th of April. My hobbies are travelling, relaxing etc. However, I’m not a big fan of music(i know, don’t come for me).

I am a very determined individual with various goals and I’m focused on producing realistic results. I am currently studying Law at the University of Liverpool, as it has always been a dream of mine to become a lawyer. I have an interest in defending others and I’m committed to pursuing a career in it.

From a very young age, I have shown interest in the beauty industry. It is a field I am very passionate about and hope to have a career in besides law. Over the years, It has had a huge impact in my life, even the minor things like getting my eyebrows done, springs up some type of excitement in me.

At age 7, my parents noticed my passion, encouraged and helped nature it. Also, attending events such as weddings and seeing ladies of various ages glam up was particularly exciting to me. I enjoy experimenting with different styles. I am comfortable taking risks with different hair styles and colours.

People around me have inspired and motivated me with their faith in my ability to contribute to the industry. This has encouraged me to work towards owning a beauty empire. In as much as I love appearances and outer beauty I also appreciate inner beauty ( I know it’s such a cliche thing to say) but beauty is truly how you feel on the inside as it radiates from within

"Meet Beauty Queen Imani Shagari"

I’m Imani Shagari , a student reading Architecture and I’m one of twenty other children. Coming from a big family has shown me how important supporting other people can be to their growth. I constantly live by the quote “Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.” It motivates me to help and support people without feeling afraid or threatened by their growth. Instead it helps me to see the best in people and that everyone has their own gifts , we just need each other to help show those gifts. As a young black girl, I would encourage other girls just like me to love themselves and also believe that they are beautiful without the beauty standards set up by society and social media.
